CHATEAU

Opened for the first time in 1928, the administration building of Zbrojovka, designed by architect Bohumír Čermák oversaw the events in this legendary factory for many decades. After it’s reconstruction, it continues to perform the same function, it is one of the entrance gates to the unique development project Nová Zbrojovka – a new, modern, lively and interconnected urban district growing in Brno by CPI Development. The multi-purpose building combines office space, retail and services and it’s reconstruction placed great emphasis on preserving the original historical elements to the maximum extent possible. From the outside, the functionalist expression of the building was completely preserved, while inside, for example, marble cladding, staircases, fireplaces, furniture and the original elevator shaft were renovated. These elements are sensitively combined with modern technologies and approaches. Even after almost 100 years, the renovated advertising light cube with the iconic logo remains one of the dominant features.
